Rotarians were on their best behavior at the August 30 meeting of the Alexandria Rotary Club, which welcomed Douglas County Sheriff Troy Wolbersen as special guest. Wolbersen, introduced by Kim Collins, described the new ARMOR (Allied Radio Matrix for Operational Response) radio system that will replace the county’s antiquated analog system. The infrastructure of the new digital system will be funded by the state of Minnesota, while the county will provide all stationary and mobile radio equipment. The new system will allow greater ease of communication among law enforcement and other public service agencies.
