Lakes District for Boy Scouts of America

Patrick O’Brien introduced Mike Denke, volunteer with Lakes District of the Boy Scouts. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America – incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916 – is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Volunteer adult leaders serve at all levels of Scouting. The Northern Lights Council has a long and proud history of serving youth with a quality Scouting program. Many youth have experienced the fun of Scouting in the great outdoors while learning critical respect for others. Lakes District Cub Scout Winter Fun Day is February 15th and will take place at the Kensington Runestone Park.
