Splash Pad at Fillmore Park

After years of vision, planning, and fund-raising, the Alexandria Splash Pad Project is now fully funded and under construction in Fillmore Park. This community‐driven project aims to bring an accessible, safe, and fun water play experience to kids of all ages, including features for those with mobility challenges. In addition to the splash pad, the project includes a new parking lot and infrastructure improvements to ensure safety, sustainability, and long‐term enjoyment.

The entire development will include the splash pad, playgrounds, “Tot Town” area for younger children, and a parking lot (echopress.com). The splash pad project and parking lot have been full funder through community donations, in‐kind contributions, and additional support coming from stormwater fees and the Liquor Fund. The Rotary Club’s generous contribution of $50,000 plays a pivotal role in closing the funding gap and bringing this project across the finish line.
