Rotarian Cliff Korkowski  presented information on the Douglas County Car Care program. DCCCP is a faith-based nonprofit that helps individuals and families in Douglas County who are challenged with transportation barriers. DCCCP receives donated cars, makes needed repairs and gives the car to needy families. If they already own a vehicle, but cannot afford repairs, DCCCP will repair that vehicle.

Rotarian Charlie Meyer  introduced fellow Rotarian Sara Stadtherr and James Feist form the Explore Alexandria Tourism office. Their job is to entice people to vacation in the Alexandria area and enjoy hospitality in the heart of lakes country. About 19% of our visitor’s dollar is spent on lodging and the other 81% on food, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Rotarian Pat Kalina introduced guest speaker Corliss Stark. Corliss shared the impact of United Way’s work.
